CARE OF A DECORATED REPAIR

Reasonable care must be taken not to damage or mar the new decorations. The new colors and glaze will not have a hard surface like the original china. It can be scratched, cut into, nicked or partially removed by any sharp or semi sharp contact. On gloss colors the sheen can be removed with abrasive materials. The surface of a decorated repair must be given the same care as any finished surface of a piece of furniture, painted woodwork or any other restorations. This applies even if the decorations have been given a protective coat of glaze. When a repaired or redecorated article needs cleaning, whether it is an article of dinnerware or not, it should be washed gently by hand with a mild soap and water, never with harsh detergents, abrasive materials or scalding water.  Dry the decorated repair gently with a soft cloth using a patting motion rather than rubbing. By following these simple rules, the decoration should remain intact.

The decorated article should not be left to soak in water or any solution or washed in a dishwasher.

We do not restore any items that would be used for food consumption.
